Beautiful two-toned African Mopani Wood makes an amazing addition to any tropical freshwater aquarium. Smooth surface and textured detail adds an awesome natural touch to any aquatic environment. The extremely dense hardwood structure sinks immediately and won't rot like driftwood, making it perfect for aquatic setups. Each piece has a unique shape, crafted by nature. This wood may release tannins into the water, creating a yellow or slightly brown tint. The tannins are natural compounds, and should not harm fish in freshwater environments, but soaking the wood before introducing it to your tank may help to minimize the tint. Sandblasted clean and ready to add to your tank.
Measures approx. 16 in. to 18 in. long. Mopani wood is natural and size and shape will vary.

This Mopani Wood in 16 to 18 inch size 11/19/2017 Reviewer: Ocean Green Discus Man My breading pair of Discus fish love this wood in their 45gal high tank. And we don't care about it leaching tannin's in into the water at all. I purchased this wood for their tank a few months ago, and this will be the 2nd time they have bread and produced little ones since I placed this wood in their tank. This wood will help you keep your tanks water on the low side of the PH scale, and will help keep it soft no matter how many water changes you have done.
ok 1/18/2015 Reviewer: dan Sank immediately like description said but still doing daily water changes after about 2 weeks the color is almost solid black be sure to not put in aquarium rite away like it says that you can it turned my water to look almost like coffee and dropped my pH so much I lost a couple fish. Be sure to put in a bucket and do daily water changes before actually putting in aquarium.
Good pieces 11/11/2014 Reviewer: Lloyd D I loved my large wooMOd. I put it standing in a 55gal aquarium and it almost sticks out of the water. Just make sure you get all of the coloring out of the wood before putting it in your aquarium.
